Community Theatre

  1. Azad Theatre worked with KASHF in August 2011 and performed 20 performances in 5 cities of Punjab (Lahore, Sahiwal, Okara, Chichawatniand Faiasalabad on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
  2. Azad Theatre also performed 20 performances on health issues (Dengue Awareness campaign) with Government of Punjab in Lahore in September 2011.
  3. Azad Theatre performed a play with Government of Punjab for dengue awareness in September 2012 at Alhamra, Lahore.
  4. Azad Theatre in collaboration with Heinrich Boll Stiftung arranged community performance at Lahore, Gujranwala, Sailkot, Multan, Peshawar and Abbotabadon political awareness campaign through theatre with its play “ BachaJamhora” in December 2012.
  5. Azad Theatre Performed a community play on ShiveKumar Batalvi’spoetry “ Play For Justice” on 14th September,2014 at Chairing Cross The Mall Lahore.
  6. Azad Theatre participated in 6th Annual Conference on the International Day of Rural Women at LOK VERSA, Islamabad with its new play “ AURAT KAHANI” on 30th October, 2013.
  7. Azad Theatre performed in 10 villages of Sialkot with its Street play on Women Empowerment and Sexual Harassment“ MehnatVichMehnaNai” in February 2014 with the help of Sialkot based organization BAIDARIE.
  8. Azad Theatre performed a community play “Ye Subha Kabhi To AayGi” on 1st May, 2014 International Labour Day at Mayo Hospital Auditorium and Sheer-e-Bangal Labour Colony, G.T.Road, Lahore.
  9. Azad Theatre performed a community Play “ KahoYe TheekNahi” a play on Adulthood problems of Children in Four Provinces of Pakistan i.e. Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan. Azad Theatre is the 1st Punjab based theatre group which performed in Balochistan.
  10. Azad Theatre performed a Street Play “ Milain Gay Waqfay Kay Baad” a play on Family Planning and Maternal Health. A project of RHF with the Support of Marie Stopes Society. Azad Theatre performed 15 performances in Districts Bahawalnagar, Muzafarabad, Muzafargarh, & Jhang.
  11. Azad Theatre presented 50 Street Theatre with PILER Karachi in 7 different distircts of Punjab on “Access to Justice for the Vulnerable Populations of Pakistan”.
  12. Azad Theatre is performing 42 Street Theatre with the collaboration of Plan International in 3 Provinces of Pakistan i.e. Punjab, KPK, and Sind “Aware the youth and Adults on Safe Use of Internet.
  13. Azad Theatre performed in 10 villages of Sialkot on Women Empowerment “Mehnat Vich Mehna Nai” in February 2017 with the help of Sialkot based organization BAIDARIE.
